March Breakfast Meeting

March 9 @ 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM

One day, on July 27th,1953, a very homogeneous country with the same exact culture, people, history, and language was divided into two countries following the Korean war that started three years earlier.  The countries took different paths, following different ideologies – Capitalism vs. Socialism.  Their stories are dramatic in the extreme and offer important and poignant lessons for Americans about true realities of Capitalism vs Socialism in perfect “twins study”.  Jinny Choi will present a comparison of the Koreas between 1953 and now, 70 years later in the hopes for America to wake up and choose the right and the righteous path in this pivotal moment in US history.

Jinny Choi was born in Korea and came to the United States as an international student. Earning the highest GPA from high school, Jinny attended Smith College and graduated with a degree in Economics. Ms. Choi began her career in Asia working for Morgan Stanley Investment Bank as an analyst. She then moved back to the United States, where she spent several years at UBS Investment Bank where she focused on Leveraged Finance and Credit Research, as well as GE where she was certified as a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt. Ms. Choi spent the next 8 years at Bridgewater Associates as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer in Client Service and Marketing and the Director of Strategic Planning and Reporting in the Office of the CEOs. Currently, Jinny Choi is a Chief Operating Officer at Brooklands Capital Strategies and Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Pacific Bridge Asset Management, an affiliate of Brooklands.
