Wendy Wulff and Mary Liz Holberg Will Provide Insight into the Met Council and Dakota County Board
Metropolitan Council member Wendy Wulff and Dakota County Commissioner Mary Liz Holberg will treat us to a look at the challenges and opportunities they have found in their respective positions.
Wulff was appointed to the Council by Governor Pawlenty in 2009 and reappointed by Governor Dayton in 2011 and 2015. She served on the Lakeville City Council from 2003 to 2009 after seven years on the Lakeville Planning Commission. On the Council, she is the vice chair of the Environment Committee and a member of the Community Development Committee. Wulff holds a B. S. in mathematics from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology, is a Lakeville resident, is married, and has three sons.
Commissioner Holberg began serving on the Dakota County Board in 2015. She has formal committee responsibilities with Transit Improvement, Communications Center, Community Development Agency, and Regional Railroad Authority. She also represents the Board on various committees, such as the I-35W Solutions Alliance, Metro Alliance for Healthy Families, Metropolitan Emergency Service, and Vermillion River Watershed. Previously, she served 16 years as Lakeville’s state representative, three years on the Lakeville City Council, and seven years on its Planning Commission. Holberg is married, lives in Lakeville, has two children and a seven-year old grandson.
